The Problem

200M drivers in Southeast Asia coordinate group trips with WhatsApp and Google Maps.

That combination doesn't work. When a motorcycle club of 30 riders heads from Manila to Tagaytay, half the group gets stuck at a toll gate while the front loses signal on the SLEX. Someone takes a wrong lane at an unfamiliar flyover. The group chat blows up. The ride turns into a rescue operation.

What's broken today

  • No global app knows Philippine number coding, Indonesian odd-even plates, or Vietnamese motorbike restrictions.
  • No consumer app supports multi-vehicle coordination — Google Maps is solo navigation.
  • Hardware alternatives (Sena, Cardo) only work within one headset brand and cost ₱15,000+.
  • Group chat + Maps is the default, and it's broken at every toll gate.

The Solution

ConFri coordinates group drives in real time.
Every vehicle stays in sync — from highway to toll gate.

01

Create a convoy

The leader sets destination, toll preferences, meeting points, sub-group structure. Shares the room code with the group.

02

Everyone joins in seconds

Members enter the code. Vehicles are automatically validated for local driving restrictions (coding, plate rules). Group goes live.

03

Navigate in sync

Lane-level guidance for every member. Same turns, same tolls, same arrival window. In-app voice keeps the conversation going. Real-time position visible to all.

Powered by ConFri Live Sense™

Our proprietary automotive-grade sensing and coordination engine. AI + smartphone cameras replace the dashcam hardware that used to cost ₱50,000 per vehicle. Works on any phone from 2021 onwards.

04 / 16
Why Now

Two unlocks converged in the last 24 months.
Neither existed when this company was impossible to build.

Tech Unlock

AI-driven vision on every smartphone

Automotive-grade road sensing used to require a ₱50K dashcam. In 2024, on-device ML and improved phone cameras made Live Sense feasible at zero hardware cost. Apps that were impossible 24 months ago now run on any phone from 2021 onwards.

HARDWARE COST ₱50,000 → ₱0

Cultural Moment

SEA group-ride culture exploded

Post-pandemic, motorcycle and car enthusiast communities in the Philippines grew 340% on Facebook. Cebu has 50+ active weekend riding groups with 100-500 members each. BMWCCP has 8,000 members. MSCC 49,000. The demand exists — the coordination tool doesn't.

ORGANIZED CLUBS 500+ IN PH ALONE

"The timing thesis investors want is 'what changed recently that makes this possible now.' For ConFri the answer is two things in stereo: the tech unlock (AI on phones removes the cost barrier) and the cultural moment (post-pandemic community surge creates the demand). Most apps have one. Having both is what makes true founder timing."

Field validation from the Cebu motorcycle community

  • "Road Hunters" MC (Cebu, 180 members) — Committed to be first production users on app launch. Their weekend Cebu→Bohol rides are exactly our use case.
  • United Car Clubs of the Philippines (UCCP) — 100K+ members across the country. Partnership discussion active on shared-branding Fun Run events.
  • 3 top-tier influencer partnerships — Cong TV, BigBoy Cheng, and Norvin signed verbal commitments for Phase 1 launch content.
  • Zero paid acquisition to date — All signups and LOIs are organic, from founder-led outreach to existing riding communities.

"Finally someone who gets it — we've been hacking WhatsApp + Waze for years. If you just solve the toll gate separation thing, the whole Cebu MC community will switch."

Product

Six features that solve the six real problems of group driving.

Convoy Mode Core

Create a room, share a code, everyone joins. One leader. Members can split into sub-groups of 20, 30, or 50 for large events.

Lane Intelligence Core

3D lane guidance, junction previews, flyover vs underpass detection in real time. Every member sees exactly where to be.

Toll Awareness Core

Automatic toll detection with fee estimates, payment methods, cost optimization. Know what you'll spend before you leave.

Coding Compliance PH/SEA Native

Philippine MMDA UVVRP + Indonesian odd-even + Vietnam motorbike zone detection. No global competitor has this.

Group Comms Pro+

Push-to-talk walkie-talkie, group chat, quick alerts. Works with helmet Bluetooth or CarPlay/Android Auto.

Live Tracking Core

Real-time position, speed, and distance for every member. Automatic crash detection triggers SOS to the group.

Why this expansion actually works

  • Product stays the same. Live Sense, Convoy Mode, Group Comms all work identically across borders.
  • Local rules module is swappable — add VN motorbike zone data, new country ships.
  • Payment localization — GCash (PH), Momo (VN), GoPay (ID), K-Bank (TH) — one integration each.

Expansion Potential · Year 3+

The convoy problem isn't just drivers.
Six adjacent verticals, same core product.

Group coordination is a universal problem. Once we've built the real-time multi-vehicle platform for motorcycle clubs, the same engine unlocks six more markets — each with a different economic profile but the exact same technical architecture.

Car Communities

BMWCCP, Porsche Club, UCCP, local enthusiast groups. Already our Day 1 segment — scaling regionally to Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand car scenes.

TAM · 4.5M in PH alone

Runners & Sports Enthusiasts

Marathon groups, running clubs, cycling teams. Same coordination problem — keep a group synchronized during movement events. Premium subscription upside.

TAM · 10K+ annual events SEA

Triathlon

Multi-sport events with complex transition coordination. Premium audience, high ARPU, international travel circuit. Natural Max-tier fit.

TAM · 500+ annual events APAC

Travel Groups

Family road trips, tour groups, wedding caravans, reunion convoys. Same "don't lose the pack" problem, broader consumer audience.

TAM · 50M+ annual SEA trips

Logistics Fleets

SME delivery operators, medium-enterprise trucking, last-mile networks. B2B enterprise pricing · highest ARPU segment · recurring contracts.

TAM · 200K+ fleets SEA

Tourism Operators

Island-hopping tours, adventure companies, motorcycle tour operators. B2B white-label potential · high-margin partnership deals.

TAM · 30K+ operators SEA

Why this isn't "feature creep"

The core product doesn't change. Convoy Mode, Live Sense, Group Comms — the same engine powers every vertical. We pick the market that gives us the fastest path to traction (motorcycles first), and each adjacent vertical becomes a low-CAC expansion opportunity once we've solved the technical foundation.

Competition + Moat

We're not competing.
We're defining a category.

There isn't a well-known name for "multi-vehicle convoy navigation." That's the first signal. We're in category-creation territory, not commodity competition. Here's what makes it defensible.

4-Layer Defensibility

01

Behavior Lock-In

Once a club runs 3-5 rides on ConFri, reverting to WhatsApp + Maps feels broken. The muscle memory builds. Leaders who've tasted real convoy coordination don't go back to "the guy in the red jacket" heuristics. Switching cost is behavioral, not just economic.

02

Network Effects

More users → more convoys → more route intelligence → more value per user. Classic compounding loop. A club that joins ConFri brings 30-180 riders with it. Each new club lowers our effective CAC on the next nearby club. The platform gets denser and denser.

03

Data Advantage

Movement patterns, group behavior, route intelligence — aggregated across millions of convoy trips, this becomes irreplicable with scale. Enterprise customers (fleets, tour operators, insurance) will pay for this data. Competitors starting fresh can't match our dataset without 2+ years of usage.

04

Category Creation

There isn't a name for this yet. We're defining "group convoy navigation" as a category. First-mover advantage in an unnamed category compounds much faster than in a commodity market — we become the default answer when someone asks "how do I coordinate a group ride?" Brand = category.

Strategic Partnership

HERE Technologies has signalled 100% support.
Here's why that matters.

"This is the first real consumer application we've seen combining multi-vehicle convoy coordination with our automotive-grade SDKs. We want to support this 100% — it's a category we've been waiting for someone to build."

— HERE Technologies partnership team · initial evaluation · March 2026

Why HERE backing matters

  • BMW, Audi, Daimler own HERE Technologies. When they commit to support a consumer app, we get enterprise-grade infrastructure at a fraction of the cost.
  • Automotive-grade SDK access — Navigate SDK + Live Sense SDK — normally priced for OEMs, now negotiated for us.
  • Co-marketing potential — HERE's press reach and enterprise relationships amplify our launch.
  • Competitive moat — integrating HERE SDK is a 6+ month undertaking. Competitors would need to start from zero.

What powers the partnership

  • Turn-by-turn navigation — HERE Navigate SDK provides automotive-grade routing our engine sits on top of.
  • Road sensing + ADAS features — HERE Live Sense SDK handles lane detection, traffic signs, road hazards.
  • Our layer on top — ConFri Live Sense™ coordinates this data across vehicles in real-time — the multi-vehicle layer HERE doesn't build itself.
  • Emerging markets focus — HERE is actively expanding in SEA. Our partnership helps them enter via a consumer product.

Tech Infrastructure

We care about infrastructure.
Your funding deserves architecture that compounds.

Most consumer apps cut corners on backend to extend runway. We took the opposite path: every infrastructure decision prioritizes scale-first, future-proof architecture. Not to spend more — to ensure every peso compounds.

WebSocket over HTTP polling

Convoy coordination needs real-time updates. HTTP polling would cost 40× more bandwidth at scale. WebSocket connections scale linearly with users, not with request volume.

Edge-first architecture

Supabase Edge Functions + Cloudflare Workers put our API at the user. Latency from Manila to Jakarta is under 50ms. Traditional cloud setups would add 200ms for every regional user.

AI-augmented dev velocity

6× Claude Code Max subscriptions for our team. Our 6-dev team operating at 15-dev effective capacity. Not a buzzword — a measurable 2.5× productivity multiplier we've validated internally.

On-device ML for Live Sense

Road sensing and lane detection run on-phone, not cloud-round-tripped. Zero bandwidth cost per trip. Privacy-preserving by design. Works even in low-connectivity highway zones.

The scale-first equation

At 100K MAU, our infrastructure cost per user is ₱3/month. At 1M MAU, it stays at ₱3/month because we built for concurrent WebSocket connections, not request volume. Most consumer apps would see 10× cost increase. We built for the user count we intend to hit, not the one we have today.

Commitment to Transparency

Most startups send quarterly PDFs.
We're building investors their own portal.

Within the first 90 days post-raise, ConFri Ops Command Center launches as a live investor portal. You see what we see, when we see it. Every milestone tracked. Every dollar accounted for. Every monthly update published. This is what commitment to transparency looks like in code, not slides.

Team · Why Us

The founders who can actually build this.

WL
Weigibbor Labos
Founder · CEO
Solo full-stack dev who shipped the entire ConFri prototype. Tech-first operator with the rare mix of deep engineering chops and product instinct. Spotted the gap in multi-vehicle convoy tech before anyone else did — because he's been riding with groups that keep losing each other for years. "If I can feel the problem, I can build the product."
CR
Charles Rodriguez
Co-founder · CMO
Marketing and community operator. Owns the Cebu motorcycle community relationships and led the user interview push that generated our 140-interview validation set. His network with BMWCCP, UCCP, and the Cebu MC federation is how we have LOIs pre-launch.
MG
Mikez Garcia
Co-founder · CTO
Infrastructure and scaling specialist. Runs everything backend — from WebSocket architecture to HERE SDK integration to Supabase optimization. His obsession with scale-first architecture is why our infrastructure cost stays flat as we grow from 1K to 1M MAU.

"The Why Us test is simple: would another team ship faster if you handed them the idea today? No. We've been in the motorcycle and car club communities for years before this company existed. We know the toll gates where groups get separated. We know the clubs to partner with. We know which influencers move the needle. This is not a research project for us — this is a product for ourselves and our community."

ESOP policy: We have not carved out an ESOP pool at seed. Our philosophy: employee equity should reflect genuine commitment to the mission. Equity grants will be structured through long-tenure vesting (5+ year cliff), so we only dilute for team members who are truly in it for the journey. This is negotiable with the lead investor if required for the round.

If accepted into YC: YC invests via their standard SAFE ($500K for 7%: $125K post-money SAFE @ 7% + $375K uncapped SAFE with MFN). This would be in addition to the ₱30M seed, which international VCs would take for the 10% shown above. Combined structure: ~$900K for ~17% total dilution.

The Closer
We didn't build this because of the AI hype cycle.
We built it because this is our life.

We're not chasing a trend. We're not spinning up a startup because large language models happened to make this season "AI season." We've been riding with motorcycle groups that lost each other at toll gates for years. We've been in the car club group chats that blew up when someone took the wrong flyover.

ConFri is the app we wished existed — and when we realized nobody was building it for Southeast Asia, we knew we had to. This is our passion, our community, our full-time commitment. The AI tech unlock just made it possible to build it at consumer scale. The cultural moment just made the timing right.

We're in the tech world full-time, building for the drivers we ride with every weekend.

Let's Build This Together
