Prepared for Y Combinator · International VCs · April 2026
That combination doesn't work. When a motorcycle club of 30 riders heads from Manila to Tagaytay, half the group gets stuck at a toll gate while the front loses signal on the SLEX. Someone takes a wrong lane at an unfamiliar flyover. The group chat blows up. The ride turns into a rescue operation.
The leader sets destination, toll preferences, meeting points, sub-group structure. Shares the room code with the group.
Members enter the code. Vehicles are automatically validated for local driving restrictions (coding, plate rules). Group goes live.
Lane-level guidance for every member. Same turns, same tolls, same arrival window. In-app voice keeps the conversation going. Real-time position visible to all.
Our proprietary automotive-grade sensing and coordination engine. AI + smartphone cameras replace the dashcam hardware that used to cost ₱50,000 per vehicle. Works on any phone from 2021 onwards.
Automotive-grade road sensing used to require a ₱50K dashcam. In 2024, on-device ML and improved phone cameras made Live Sense feasible at zero hardware cost. Apps that were impossible 24 months ago now run on any phone from 2021 onwards.
HARDWARE COST ₱50,000 → ₱0
Post-pandemic, motorcycle and car enthusiast communities in the Philippines grew 340% on Facebook. Cebu has 50+ active weekend riding groups with 100-500 members each. BMWCCP has 8,000 members. MSCC 49,000. The demand exists — the coordination tool doesn't.
ORGANIZED CLUBS 500+ IN PH ALONE
"The timing thesis investors want is 'what changed recently that makes this possible now.' For ConFri the answer is two things in stereo: the tech unlock (AI on phones removes the cost barrier) and the cultural moment (post-pandemic community surge creates the demand). Most apps have one. Having both is what makes true founder timing."
"Finally someone who gets it — we've been hacking WhatsApp + Waze for years. If you just solve the toll gate separation thing, the whole Cebu MC community will switch."
Create a room, share a code, everyone joins. One leader. Members can split into sub-groups of 20, 30, or 50 for large events.
3D lane guidance, junction previews, flyover vs underpass detection in real time. Every member sees exactly where to be.
Automatic toll detection with fee estimates, payment methods, cost optimization. Know what you'll spend before you leave.
Philippine MMDA UVVRP + Indonesian odd-even + Vietnam motorbike zone detection. No global competitor has this.
Push-to-talk walkie-talkie, group chat, quick alerts. Works with helmet Bluetooth or CarPlay/Android Auto.
Real-time position, speed, and distance for every member. Automatic crash detection triggers SOS to the group.

Group coordination is a universal problem. Once we've built the real-time multi-vehicle platform for motorcycle clubs, the same engine unlocks six more markets — each with a different economic profile but the exact same technical architecture.
BMWCCP, Porsche Club, UCCP, local enthusiast groups. Already our Day 1 segment — scaling regionally to Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand car scenes.
Marathon groups, running clubs, cycling teams. Same coordination problem — keep a group synchronized during movement events. Premium subscription upside.
Multi-sport events with complex transition coordination. Premium audience, high ARPU, international travel circuit. Natural Max-tier fit.
Family road trips, tour groups, wedding caravans, reunion convoys. Same "don't lose the pack" problem, broader consumer audience.
SME delivery operators, medium-enterprise trucking, last-mile networks. B2B enterprise pricing · highest ARPU segment · recurring contracts.
Island-hopping tours, adventure companies, motorcycle tour operators. B2B white-label potential · high-margin partnership deals.
The core product doesn't change. Convoy Mode, Live Sense, Group Comms — the same engine powers every vertical. We pick the market that gives us the fastest path to traction (motorcycles first), and each adjacent vertical becomes a low-CAC expansion opportunity once we've solved the technical foundation.
There isn't a well-known name for "multi-vehicle convoy navigation." That's the first signal. We're in category-creation territory, not commodity competition. Here's what makes it defensible.
| Player | Multi-Vehicle | Group Voice | Convoy Coord. | Local Compliance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ConFri | ✓ Moto + Car + Supercar | ✓ In-app PTT | ✓ Leader + sub-groups | ✓ PH, VN, ID, TH |
| Riser · REVER (moto apps) | Moto only | — | Weak | — |
| Life360 (family tracker) | Family/generic | — | — | — |
| WhatsApp + Google Maps | Hack | 1:1 only | — | — |
| Sena / Cardo (hardware) | Moto only | ✓ Voice | Voice only | — |
Once a club runs 3-5 rides on ConFri, reverting to WhatsApp + Maps feels broken. The muscle memory builds. Leaders who've tasted real convoy coordination don't go back to "the guy in the red jacket" heuristics. Switching cost is behavioral, not just economic.
More users → more convoys → more route intelligence → more value per user. Classic compounding loop. A club that joins ConFri brings 30-180 riders with it. Each new club lowers our effective CAC on the next nearby club. The platform gets denser and denser.
Movement patterns, group behavior, route intelligence — aggregated across millions of convoy trips, this becomes irreplicable with scale. Enterprise customers (fleets, tour operators, insurance) will pay for this data. Competitors starting fresh can't match our dataset without 2+ years of usage.
There isn't a name for this yet. We're defining "group convoy navigation" as a category. First-mover advantage in an unnamed category compounds much faster than in a commodity market — we become the default answer when someone asks "how do I coordinate a group ride?" Brand = category.

"This is the first real consumer application we've seen combining multi-vehicle convoy coordination with our automotive-grade SDKs. We want to support this 100% — it's a category we've been waiting for someone to build."

Most consumer apps cut corners on backend to extend runway. We took the opposite path: every infrastructure decision prioritizes scale-first, future-proof architecture. Not to spend more — to ensure every peso compounds.
Convoy coordination needs real-time updates. HTTP polling would cost 40× more bandwidth at scale. WebSocket connections scale linearly with users, not with request volume.
Supabase Edge Functions + Cloudflare Workers put our API at the user. Latency from Manila to Jakarta is under 50ms. Traditional cloud setups would add 200ms for every regional user.
6× Claude Code Max subscriptions for our team. Our 6-dev team operating at 15-dev effective capacity. Not a buzzword — a measurable 2.5× productivity multiplier we've validated internally.
Road sensing and lane detection run on-phone, not cloud-round-tripped. Zero bandwidth cost per trip. Privacy-preserving by design. Works even in low-connectivity highway zones.
At 100K MAU, our infrastructure cost per user is ₱3/month. At 1M MAU, it stays at ₱3/month because we built for concurrent WebSocket connections, not request volume. Most consumer apps would see 10× cost increase. We built for the user count we intend to hit, not the one we have today.
Within the first 90 days post-raise, ConFri Ops Command Center launches as a live investor portal. You see what we see, when we see it. Every milestone tracked. Every dollar accounted for. Every monthly update published. This is what commitment to transparency looks like in code, not slides.
"The Why Us test is simple: would another team ship faster if you handed them the idea today? No. We've been in the motorcycle and car club communities for years before this company existed. We know the toll gates where groups get separated. We know the clubs to partner with. We know which influencers move the needle. This is not a research project for us — this is a product for ourselves and our community."

ESOP policy: We have not carved out an ESOP pool at seed. Our philosophy: employee equity should reflect genuine commitment to the mission. Equity grants will be structured through long-tenure vesting (5+ year cliff), so we only dilute for team members who are truly in it for the journey. This is negotiable with the lead investor if required for the round.
If accepted into YC: YC invests via their standard SAFE ($500K for 7%: $125K post-money SAFE @ 7% + $375K uncapped SAFE with MFN). This would be in addition to the ₱30M seed, which international VCs would take for the 10% shown above. Combined structure: ~$900K for ~17% total dilution.
We're not chasing a trend. We're not spinning up a startup because large language models happened to make this season "AI season." We've been riding with motorcycle groups that lost each other at toll gates for years. We've been in the car club group chats that blew up when someone took the wrong flyover.
ConFri is the app we wished existed — and when we realized nobody was building it for Southeast Asia, we knew we had to. This is our passion, our community, our full-time commitment. The AI tech unlock just made it possible to build it at consumer scale. The cultural moment just made the timing right.
We're in the tech world full-time, building for the drivers we ride with every weekend.
